Pro tip, if you are gonna build a deck get high quality wood, and let it dry before its installed. This beautiful mahogany looked totally pristine after resurfacing and re-staining. I always go through the whole deck with an orbital sander, flattening out the warped boards and replacing stripped screws. Then its always three coats of stain, rubbed in by hand till it shines.
